I agreel, it’s always the table and group shots that I find are the toughest. Trying to get different Christmas photos is tricky too, there’s only so many present opening photos you can take! Thanks for the chance to win!
Mine would probaby be taking pics of the kids opening their gifts. It’s always a mess, I can’t get them to look at the camera, and all of the colors in the photos are usually off. Sometimes they just get changed to b&w!! 🙂 Thanks for the chance to win!!

Christmas morning is the worst for me too. Poor lighting and constant motion make horrible shots, plus there are just too many of the same thing.
Totally with you on the group shots at the table. I have a hard time photographing the food to make it look “pretty” for lack of a better word. The group shots are always hard as well – mainly because people don’t want to be in the picture! Thanks for hosting this – I follow your blog too! (got your email for the new post!) 😉
i have to agree with a lot of others on here. I have to say table shots are the worse for me. There is always someone left out and then that person gets mad because they think you did it on purpose. All that fun stuff.
Last year, I had a really hard time getting good photos of my little one, it was her first Christmas, she was 6 months old, just learning to crawl, and getting into EVERYTHING!!! No way was she going to sit still and pose for me!! This year, she will be 18 months, and I have a feeling we will have the same problem, she is much more interested in anything else BUT me and the camera, lol!! I really get stressed during special events/holidays, because it is so tough to photograph children when they are so busy with all the excitement going on around them!! Thanks for the chance to win!!

# 1 would have to be the table shots! My dining room is so small it’s really hard to step back to include everyone and the lighting is awful! #2 would be opening the gifts! I always end up with a lot of weird facial expressions! LOL! Thanks for a chace to win this issue! Maybe it will give me some ideas to either improve or work with what I have! LOL! ~Bev~

a troublespot for me is, believe it or not, lighting! When I want to get a pic of our Christmas tree, I can never get the lighting right! It’s either too dark or too blurry…it’s never the same issue! thanks for this chance!
I have trouble with lighting on the Christmas tree. Can’t seem to get it right, but at least I’m getting closer each year to getting a good picture of the tree.

My trouble is getting nice shots of present opening, especially little kids. Such a BUSY BUSY background.
I can never get a good shot of our tree. We’ve had some gorgeous ones and photos just don’t do them justice.

Thanks, Adele! I have a very difficult time capturing those present-opening moments. I want to catch the surprise or the pure satisfaction but I usually end up with packaging in front of their faces!
My trouble is of getting any good photos of ME. My dad took 3 photos of me last year and they came out terrible. Two were blurry and the last third I had the goofiest look on my face.
