Mixed Media Magazine Giveaway!

Standard

Hey everyone.  My post is going to be really brief, sorry.  My nephew’s been in the hospital all weekend, and I simply don’t have the time/energy to do a full post.  (He’s fine and home now.  I’ve just not yet recovered.)

But this new magazine DOES deserve a look.  It’s super fun.  Click here for the special Sneak Peek.  I’m a particular fan of the crackle medium.  You can find it in the hardware store with the other specialty paints, or in the craft store.  There are some paints that crackle by themselves, and there are solutions you can get that crackle any waterbased paint, letting you make your own.  It’s pretty fun stuff to play with.

This is a 3×3″ canvas I did back in April.  You’ll notice the chipboard bird has been painted with acrylic, then covered in Tim Holtz’ Rock Candy, which is a clear crackle medium.

If you’d like a chance at winning a copy of this super cool magazine, leave a message on my blog.  I’ll pull a random winner on Sunday, so be sure you leave your comment by 11.59 MDT Saturday 21 July, 2012.  If you can’t wait that long, no worries!  You can always get your copy in the online store.

Don’t forget to check out the other posts on this blog hops for additional chances to win!
